Contract Description:
Under this contract, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will continue in partnership and coordination with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho to implement the Operational Loss Assessment and the Kootenai River Operational Mitigation and Evaluation Plan on the Montana portion of the Kootenai River floodplain by identifying, designing, and implementing management actions that offset wildlife impacts caused by the operation of Libby Dam. Those impacts are described in the Kootenai River Floodplain Ecosystem Operational Loss Assessment Report (2013) and the mitigation actions are described in the Kootenai River Floodplain Ecosystem Operational Mitigation and Evaluation (KROME) Plan (2016).
